Welcome to Summits Northwest!

I am currently working in Saudi Arabia so wont be posting any new outings for a while. If you are interested in life in Saudi go to my blog there.
If you have been to my site before, thanks for returning! You will of course notice that I have switched to a blog style approach for managing the site recently in an effort to keep things more uniform and much easier to maintain. I will slowly continue to add pictures and videos like before so please check back often.

As before…I have a collection of pictures and videos of climbs and hikes with descriptions of the routes or hikes. I have most recently been working to get most of the site looking and working the same way. Many of the pages have map links and many have links to other associated information. For the most part I have photos of trips and some kind of trip report or comments on the route or hike.

I am pretty much always in the process of adding more of the photos I have but this will take some time to say the least. I plan to at have at least some slides, a Topo map and a link to the National Forest or National Parks Page as appropriate for each mountain or route included.

We are truly fortunate to live in a state with 3 national parks and a national monument (Mountain Rainier, North Cascades, Olympic and the Mount St. Helens National Monument). There is virtually no end to the hiking and climbing possibilities here in this state and the northwest. It is my intention to share as much of that as I can here on this site. I hope you find something of interest.
